From Scene To Song: Acting for Musicals/ Stage/ Screen

From Scene to Song:  This course is an exciting 6 week musical theatre style intensive.  And it’s not just for the stage.  Actors will help to choose their own scenes and then work though 2 different scenes with partners over the 6 week course.  They will breakdown their scenes, analyze the script, develop their characters, understand the genre and learn how the music affects their characters and the story.  After another 2 weeks of rehearsal, the actors will present the final scenes with music for filming in the last class.  This takeaway “demo” will help them to gain an agent, use in their demo reel or share with friends and family.  This class is a way to grow outside your comfort zone and express new aspects of character and self.  No music knowledge or previous training required.
